RACERS are highly visible, prestigious volunteers who serve as the Guilford Merchants Association's Membership Council. The RACER committee plays an essential role in member recruitment, communication & retention, and each RACER is charged with conveying member needs, questions & concerns to GMA staff, keeping GMA in line with our members' desires. RACERS stand for Recruit, Activate, Connect, Encourage, Retain.

RACERS are selected through an application process, which reviews the applicants involvement in GMA & their dedication to the success of the organization.  Upon their appointment, each RACER makes a commitment to build lasting relationships with the membership, particularly new GMA members, in order to build a loyal committed membership base that will continue to support, participate & invest in GMA.
