GMA partners with the Greensboro Police Department to honor National Peace Officers Week each May.  Events include the Law Enforcement Memorial 5K Run to benefit Special Olympics and the Law Enforcement Memorial Service that remembers officers slain in the line of duty.  The centerpiece of the week is the annual Police and Citizens Appreciation Dinner that honors the heroic deeds and exceptional service of local police officers and citizens.

The Council also hosts an appreciation luncheon for local firefighters each year in honor of Patriot Day.  These are only some of the ways that GMA shows its support for the men and women that protect our community.
