High Point Core City Plan: The Core City Plan, a major initiative of High Point City Council, was undertaken to guide, re-develop and revitalize High Point's core area to improve the physical, economic and social facets of the area. The Core area includes downtown, surrounding neighborhoods, several institutions, commercial corridors and industrial areas.

Guilford Merchants Association staff members are serving on a planning committee designated as "Uptown High Point". The vision of this committee is to create a community space where all members of all segments of the community can meet for parades, speeches, art exhibits and other community events.

Greensboro's Central Gateway Corridor Development Plan: GMA is proud to play an important role in coordinating volunteers, conducting business surveys and supporting the development of the High Point Road/Lee Street business community through its participation in the Central Gateway Corridor Development Plan. The successful completion of the plan will revitalize a key area of our city, providing enhanced resources for residents and businesses while improving visibility for economic development initiatives.
